What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides, often called PN, are highly purified DNA fragments, usually derived from salmon or trout. Injected into the skin, they support your skin's natural repair processes, stimulating collagen and elastin, improving hydration and helping skin become stronger and more resilient over time.

Is it right for me?

Polynucleotides suit most healthy adults aged 18 and over. Your consultation includes a full medical history, and treatment may not be suitable if you:

are pregnant or breastfeeding
have a fish or salmon allergy, as polynucleotides are fish-derived
have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflammation in the treatment area
take blood-thinning medication, which can increase bruising, especially under the eyes
have an active autoimmune condition or uncontrolled diabetes

What are polynucleotides made from?

Highly purified DNA fragments, usually from salmon or trout, processed to a very high standard for use in the skin. Because they're fish-derived, polynucleotides aren't suitable if you have a fish allergy, so please let Chelsea know.

Do polynucleotides add volume?

No. They improve the quality of the skin itself rather than filling or reshaping, which is why they suit delicate areas like the under-eyes so well.

When will I see results?

Results are gradual. Many clients notice improvements in hydration and skin quality within a few weeks, with the full benefits building over the course of treatments.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. Small raised bumps at the injection points usually settle within a few hours to a day, and you may have mild redness or swelling. Bruising is possible, particularly under the eyes, so plan around important events. Chelsea will give you full aftercare advice.

Can I combine polynucleotides with skin boosters?
