Skin Boosters

Skin boosters work beneath the surface to deeply hydrate and revitalise your skin, improving its firmness, elasticity and natural glow. They don't change the shape of your face; they improve the quality of your skin, for a fresh, natural-looking result.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are injectable treatments placed just beneath the skin's surface. Rather than adding volume like a dermal filler, they deliver hydrating, regenerative hyaluronic acid that helps your skin hold moisture and supports its own natural repair.

The result is skin that looks and feels healthier: more hydrated, smoother and more radiant, while still looking completely like you. Because they work with your skin's natural processes, results build gradually over a course of treatments.

Profhilo®

For overall hydration and skin quality

Profhilo® is one of the world's best-known skin boosters, often described as an injectable moisturiser. It contains an exceptionally high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid, combining high and low molecular weight forms through a patented technology called NAHYCO®, without the chemical cross-linking agents used in many fillers.

Injected at five precise points on each side of the face, it spreads evenly beneath the skin, hydrating deeply and helping to stimulate collagen and elastin. Over the weeks that follow, skin typically looks plumper, smoother, firmer and more radiant, a real improvement in overall skin quality, while still looking completely like you.

A Profhilo Structura treatment on the mid-face

£240per session

Profhilo® Structura

For mid-face volume loss and a lifted, refreshed look

Profhilo® Structura is the newest innovation from the makers of Profhilo®, and it works one layer deeper. While original Profhilo® treats the skin itself, Structura is designed to restore the superficial fat pads of the mid-face, which naturally lose volume and shift with age, leading to hollowing, sagging and a tired appearance.

It uses the same patented NAHYCO® technology at an even higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, and it isn't a cross-linked dermal filler. Rather than simply adding volume, it's designed to restore the tissue itself, for a naturally lifted, refreshed and more contoured look.

Ideal for: Early to moderate volume loss in the cheeks and mid-face, hollowing, and a tired or sagging look. It's often combined with original Profhilo® to treat both skin quality and structure.

Profhilo® Structura is usually recommended as a course of 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart, with maintenance around every 6 months. Ask Chelsea about course pricing, and about combining it with Profhilo®.

A Lumi-Pro skin booster treatment being performed

£130per session

Lumi-Pro

For a luminous, refreshed complexion

Lumi-Pro is a hyaluronic acid skin booster designed to flood your skin with hydration. Hyaluronic acid naturally holds many times its own weight in water, so placing it just beneath the surface helps replace the moisture skin loses over time, through age, stress, sun and lifestyle.

Treated skin often looks fresher and more luminous within days, with smoother texture, softened fine lines and better elasticity building over a course of sessions. It's the ideal choice when your main goal is glow: a brighter, dewier, well-rested complexion.

Is it right for me?

Skin boosters suit most healthy adults aged 18 and over. Your consultation includes a full medical history, and treatment may not be suitable if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflammation in the treatment area
  • have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or any other ingredient
  • take blood-thinning medication, which can increase bruising (please tell Chelsea about any medication you take)
  • have certain medical conditions, such as uncontrolled diabetes or an active autoimmune condition

Chelsea will always talk you through suitability, possible side effects and aftercare before any treatment.

Skin booster questions

Do skin boosters hurt?

Very fine needles are used, and most clients describe a quick scratch at each injection point. The treatment itself only takes a few minutes, and Chelsea will make sure you're comfortable throughout.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. Small raised bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 24 hours, and some people have mild redness or light bruising for a few days. Most clients go straight back to their day. Chelsea will give you full aftercare advice, which usually includes avoiding make-up on the area for the rest of the day, and strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for around 24 hours.

When will I see results?

Many clients notice their skin looking fresher and more hydrated within days. The biggest improvements build gradually over the weeks of your course, as your skin responds.

How long do results last?

It depends on the treatment, your skin and your lifestyle, but results typically last several months after a full course. Simple maintenance sessions help keep your skin at its best, and Chelsea will recommend a schedule for you.

Are skin boosters the same as fillers?

No. Fillers add volume to reshape specific areas, such as the lips or cheeks. Skin boosters improve the quality of the skin itself, its hydration, texture and glow, without changing your features.

Can I combine skin boosters with other treatments?

Often, yes. Skin boosters pair well with advanced facials as part of a wider skin plan. Treatments need to be spaced correctly, so Chelsea will plan the timing with you.

Which skin booster is right for me?

It depends on your skin and your goals. Book a consultation and Chelsea will assess your skin and recommend the right treatment, or combination, for you.
